Cats With Wings
a science fiction and fantasy zine

Cats With Wings is a science fiction and fantasy zine dedicated to bringing you good quality fantasy and science fiction (at least if you buy it). Each issue has 3 short stories in it. Issues come out every two months.  Copies are available through Flights of Fantasy bookstore, either by buying it in person or ordering it through their website. 
The beginnings of each story are available by clicking on the issue below, so you can decide if you want to buy each issue.

Submission guidelines: 

• The story should be of good literary quality.
• The story should have elements of science fiction/fantasy/speculative par fiction. Slipstream is okay. I don't usually like reading gore, so I probably won't like your horror story, but I do like macabre fantasy (à la Lovecraft, Machen, Tanith Lee).
• Multiple and simultaneous submissions are accepted.
• The story should be sent in .rtf format.
• Anything longer than 8500 words is nearing being too long. However, I'd rather find a good story that's a little too long than miss one entirely due to word count.
• I will pay an encomium of $20 per published story at the time of publication. Someday when I have a large, glossy magazine or a thick pulp, I hope to pay more but for now, that's it.
